| Retiro | |||||
![]() |
The first inhabitants named this neighbourhood after a hermit where spiritual retreats were carried out. Later, its name was also related to the huge train station that operates in the place, from where one could travel to the different points of the country. At present, Retiro brings together one of the citys largest squares, luxurious hotels and numerous office buildings. It is a neighbourhood in constant growth and evolution. | ||||
| Retiro has a bus station with buses running to the rest of the country, and trains and buses to the different zones in Buenos Aires. Just three decades ago, the zone called Catalinas Norte (located between Córdoba, Eduardo Madero and Leandro N. Alem Avenues and San Martín Street) began its urbanisation process. Today, it has intelligent buildings that draw together the offices of the most important multinational companies in the country. | |||||
